John Paterson, our founder and CEO is a former public accountant who started out preparing annual financial statements and tax returns for hundreds of mid-market clients back in the days before most companies had computers. When the PC became a reality, John was drawn to the IT world, initially working for Attache, the leading Australian accounting software vendor at the time, before leaving to become one of the first Great Plains business partners in Australia. John then joined software distribution company Sourceware who were the Accpac and later Crystal Services distributors as head of support and later development for Accpac in Australia. In 1999 John left to concentrate 100% on development in the Accpac SDK. His first product was "A/P Orders" which was a popular non-stock purchasing module until Accpac incorporated the same technology in their purchase orders module. All up, John has around 35 years accounting and ERP industry experience.
